 General FAQs

  • We like to welcome new customers through a consultation that you can set up by yourselves through our website or a simple phone call to our office number (864) 266-0632. We also do scheduling through Facebook and Instagram.

    After the consultation is scheduled, one of our specialists will come to the address you provide and review with you their plans for finding a solution to your problem.

    During the consultation you may receive an estimated quote from the specialist, but within 24 hours you will receive an email with the official estimate from our office detailing the cost for the specific services you will need. If you feel like you don’t need certain services, just let us know and we’ll give you an updated estimate!

    It's entirely free of charge to schedule a consultation and receive a quote.

    From that point on, we'll then schedule another appointment to begin work. If it's something we can quickly fix, sometimes leaks and siding repairs can be quick, we may try to fix it on the spot when we come out for the initial consultation. Honestly, it just depends on the situation and the materials needed.

    If you need something to be specially ordered, the second appointment will not begin until the materials have been delivered, but we try to plan accordingly around the delivery date and your availability.

  • For more than 25 years, we've worked in the construction business. Officially establishing our own company, First Choice Constructors, in 2014.

    We are proudly licensed and insured, which we’ll provide proof of upon customer request.

  • Besides us being a family-owned and operated construction company. First Choice Constructors are bilingual and are partially open on Saturdays. If your schedule requires our services strictly on Saturday, we will be able to help you!

    Communication is key and we aim to clearly and effectively communicate with all of you. If you have questions or requests, just let us know and we’ll do our best to find a solution.

  • Pricing varies, depending on specific material types, the damage, labor fees, etc.

  • Yes, we offer financing through Greensky. Just ask one of our contractors to learn more about it or to go ahead and set up the approval process. You can also learn more about it at Greensky’s website.

  • Being bilingual, Spanish/English, we've worked with a large scale of customers ranging in age and ethnicity.

  • Yes and no, because it depends on so many factors (ie. how much info is provided, if you’re able to provide pictures/measurements, if unknown issues exist, etc.)

    To receive a remote estimate, you must provide your full address. If you are not willing to share your address, then we will not be able to help you.

    After your full address is provided, we may be able to give remote estimates, but just know it will be a very rough, rough, rough, rough estimate and is subject to change when we officially head out to the address.

    So, we do prefer to just go ahead and schedule a consultation, so that we can give you a more accurate estimate.

 Roofing FAQs

  • Generally, First Choice Constructors take 1-2 days to replace roofs depending on roof size, unforeseen weather conditions, or other complications (rotten wood, mold, etc.) may delay our typical 1-2 days range for roof replacement and roof installation.

  • Absolutely not! Feel free to stay comfy in your home and watch the magic happen, but we do we warn you it may be a little noisy, so just take that into account if you’re sensitive to noise or have small children.

  • Roof discoloration could possibly be a warning sign that your roof is deteriorating. Roof discoloration could also signify algae growing on your roof.

    Either way, roof discoloration decreases your home’s curb appeal and, if selling your home, a discolored roof may scare away potential buyers. Roof discoloration can considered the number one red flag amongst home buyers.

  • We recommend you to pick the best roof that fits your situation. Unfortunately, metal roofs cost the most, but should last the longest. Architectural Shingles lasts longer than your regular 3 Tab Shingles, but also costs more. The most affordable roofing option out there is your 3 Tab Shingles, so whatever option best fits your situation we recommend you to get.

    If you do choose a roof on the higher-end of the spectrum, we have financing options available if you need it.

    If you want to see the difference in prices for metal or shingle roofs, just let our contractor know and he’ll make an estimate for each roofing option.

 siding FAQs

  • Absolutely not! Feel free to stay comfy in your home and watch the magic happen, but we do we warn you it may be a little noisy, so just take that into account if you’re sensitive to noise or have small children.

  • The Siding Materials we offer are: Vinyl, Hardie Plank, and Aluminum.

  • Yes, we do! During the initial consultation our contractor may be able to color match you siding for a partial siding install or repair.

    If you need a siding repair, we may be able to fix it during the initial consultation depending on materials needed and the contractor’s other scheduled appointments.

  • Yes, we specialize in full siding replacements and installations. Just let us know how you want your siding done and we’ll do it.

  • Yes, if you want to specially order a specific siding color, we can do that as well.

    Just note, that it may take longer for the project to begin since we’ll have to wait to get the material from our supplier.

 Gutter FAQs

  • Gutter Guards aren’t required, but are helpful to have. Gutter Guards keep your Gutters cleaner and prevent clogs from happening. Gutter clogs, however, can still happen, so it’s important to keep your gutters clean. Gutter guards should be replaced every 6-8 years.

  • If you want to prolong the lifespan of your roof, then yes! You should have gutters installed correctly. If a gutter is incorrectly installed, then it may be doing more harm than good.

  • Yes, we can definitely clean out your gutters for you and, depending on the size of your home, we can be finished cleaning your gutters in typically 1-4 hours.

  • Yes, gutter installs and replacements are something we specialize in. We also do gutter repairs.

  • If you have damaged gutters, we can repair and replace individual gutter pieces. Sometimes, the gutter just needs to be repositioned. Other times, we have to replace the gutter if the damage is too sufficient.

  • We have a large variety of gutter colors. Our contractor can come and try to color match the gutters you already have. If you’re looking for a whole new look, you can definitely browse our color wheel during the initial consultation.
